Even a helping hand from shredder as he helps finish the turtle’s tutelage in the ancient ways of magick. But what happens when even after the war things are not quite right? What if this war and even the future end of all things is inevitable? Could they stop it even could Donatello be the reason behind its very existence?

As IDWs final total collection of stories in this last volume in reading order, this is truly a wonderful way to wrap things up! You get high energy right away as in the first 200 pages we see the aftermath of the war and what winning truly means and if it’s enough to be happy. The other amazing part of this book is after this war and turtle’s own adventure in time and space we get to see the advent of Karai! We get to see what was given to her from shredder and how it can finally help with her goal to bring the foot clan to glory and rule. But it also shows her fears and vulnerabilities and despite the strength she has human feelings deep down inside.

Amazing writing by Sophie Campbell, Tom Waltz, Erik Burnham and Michael Walsh. The writing for this has found a way to elicit so much feeling and strength of the characters involved. You see the struggles of war, dealing in the aftermath and truly coming to terms with the end!
