If you have kept on reading then let us tell you about this lovely blend of demonic horror, political strife and finding your resolve. The Exorcism at 1600 Penn written by Hannah Rose May who does and a perfect job at writing from a political standpoint and family drama while juggling the penchant for demonology and exorcism. This is combined with Vanesa Del Rays incredible art that has a waterpaint feel that looks like it came fresh from the easel!
Our story revolves around matriarch Kelly as has just been elected to POTUS and with her comes her family. Her husband Eric a former doctor, son Kevin who wants to fit in but deep-down cares for his family and Mara a young girl who believes in her mother and trust no one outside of her family. The story takes place as the family comes to grip with this new reality especially Kevin and Mara who most navigate the jungle of school. But as Mara has trouble fitting in, she finds something most evil growing inside her! Only with the help of the schools leader Father Reid do they stand a chance, but what if he does not believe in this demon and what plans does this demon have with the president?
This was a fantastic read as the story was eerie and dark at the right amount yet focused on a deeper story of the world around it as well and those problems did not stop coming as well. If you love the exorcist paired with house of cards then this issue is right up your alley! Pick it up today !
